Chaworth Road, West Bridgford

I have worked with many clients on Chaworth Road, and each project has been different. Each client has a unique set of requirements for their home and how they want it to work.

This existing house had the original Victorian layout. The kitchen at the rear of the house lacked natural light and felt disconnected from the garden. The challenge was to extend the house to create a bright family kitchen/dining/living space with a good connection to the rear garden whilst adding a utility room and a downstairs toilet.

We created a new kitchen/dining/living space with a vaulted ceiling, roof lights and apex glazing to provide natural light, ventilation and a beautiful view of the sky. The design included a small courtyard between the existing house and the new extension to retain natural light to the rear reception room and provide external access from the new utility space. We also added a contemporary dormer to the existing loft room to create a stunning master suite with views over Nottingham.
